添加冷媒 Top upping gas

市面上有两种汽车冷气专用冷媒(Gas)。一种是 R12, 另一种是 134a。多年前,R12气体被专家证实有危害大气层的成分,是一种不环保的冷气冷媒,所以现在的汽车冷气都已改用 134a 冷媒了。因此,添加冷媒的价格也有所不同。现在修车厂 添加冷媒的价格大约为: R12 - RM30 , 134a - RM40(依据车款式与冷气情况而定)。

(1) 在一些情况下,维修人员是不能够为车冷气进行冷媒添加的。这些情况如下:

第一,车冷气零件已经出现大量泄漏冷媒的情况
常见出现这类情况的零件有 :冷媒输送管(pipping) ,蒸发器(cooling coil),压缩机(compressor/pump),冷凝器(condenser)。在这类情况下,大多数的解决方法就是更换一个新的零件。

第二,回路阻塞
一旦冷媒回路阻塞,瓦斯不能畅通流动到各个零件,强行加入冷媒只会带来更糟的后果,例如输送管或冷媒蓄筒爆裂。常见的回路情况出现在:压缩机与冷凝器之间,冷凝器与冷媒蓄筒之间。在这类情况下,解决方法就是将阻塞物吹出,如果阻塞情况已经很严重了,就得将相关零件更换新的。

第三,压缩机操作不正常
压缩机就像我们的心脏,用气压将冷媒输送到各个零件。如果压缩机不能压缩出足够的压力(严重的不够力/弱),就算添加冷媒也无补于事。无奈之际,也只有换一个新的压缩机了。

(2) 此外,有些情况是不需要为车冷气添加冷媒的。一些常见的情况如下:

第一,冷凝器的风扇没操作正常
如果风扇操作时有时无,那会影响车引擎的温度,使而提高,因此冷气也会变得不冷了。在这类情况下,解决方法就是更换风扇的发动机 (Fan Motor)。

第二,电路故障
例如:继电器(Relay) 或 保险丝(Fuse) 短路而导致零件无法操作。除此之外,电线断了也可导致零件没有电源而无法操作。

第三蒸发器遭灰尘阻塞
在这情况下会感觉到风量很小,但是冷度还够,每当到了天气热时,就会感到冷气不够冷了。我们的建议是将蒸发器拆出并进行清洗,清洗后再将冷媒添加回去就行了。这也是其中一项不是单单添加冷媒就能解决的情况。

如果排除以上的可能性,大致上就是因为车冷气冷媒不足了才导致冷气不冷的原因。专家说:连接各零件的胶管1年有100-200g 的自然泄漏。依我们的经验,一两年添加一次冷媒还算是正常的 ,如果添加后不到六个月又发觉冷气又不冷了,那就表示有地方泄漏冷媒了。

Currently, there are two types of Air-conditional Gas, which is R12 and 134a. Few years ago, the scientists proved that the R12 gas is non-environmental friendly. It has cause harmful effect to our atmosphere so they come out with an alternative gas which call 134a. Now, the new model cars is using this type of gas for their air-conditional. Due to this, the price of these two types of gas is different. Normally, the car services center would charge RM30 for one top up of gas R12, and RM40 for one top up of gas 134a (depends on the car model and air-cond condition).  

(1) In some condition, the mechanicians CANNOT top up gas for air-conditional system.


Firstly, there is a big leaking spot in the system
Spare parts that always having gas leaking problem is such as pipping, cooling coil/evaporator, compressor/pump, and condenser. When there is gas leaking problem, the solution for it would mostly be exchanging with a brand new spare parts.


Second, there is a blocking on the pathway in the system
When there is blocking in the pathway, the gas cannot recycle and reach to all the parts in the system. If continue pumping the gas into the air-cond, it would cause a bad effect such as burst in pipping and filter dryer. This problem is mostly happened between the pathway of  compressor and condenser, and also between condenser and filter dryer. We would try to blow out the dirt that blocking the pathway at first. But if the condition is already been in the bad state, we would only to exchange the spare parts with new one. 


Third, compressor is in weak condition
Compressor/pump is just like our heart, it pump the gas throughout the air-conditional system. If the compressor is weak, it cannot give out enough energy to pump the gas, thus the car air-cond would feel like not cold enough or taking long time to cold up the car. Under this problem, if the car owner really want their air-cond in a better condition, we would only advise them to exchange the compressor with a brand new one.

(2) Beside that, there are some conditions that NO NEED to top up gas for the air-conditional system.  


Firstly, the condenser fan did not functioning

If the fan did not functioning well, the car engine temperature would increase, thus the air-cond would not cold enough. The solution is to exchange the fan motor so that the fan would functioning as normal again.


Second, there is a short circuit in the system
Most the spare parts such as compressor, fan, cooling coil and also fan blower needs electric for functioning. When there is short circuit, the problem would mostly occur on the relay or fuses. Besides,it would also because of the break of the wiring system.

Third, the cooling coil has already dirty and cover up with dirt
In this condition, the wind blowing out would become very less but the temperature is still fine. Our advise would be take out the cooling coil and clean it. After cleaning, we would refill back the gas. This is one of the problems that not just solved by topping up air-conditional gas.

If we can exclude all those factors, we can normally define the problem by not enough gas. The professional said there is about 100g to 200g of gas leaking from the rubber pipping each year. This can be say as natural leaking. From our experience, there is still normal if the car air-cond top up gas once in a year or two years. If the car air-cond not cold again after top up around 6 months ago, we can consider there is gas leaking.

汽车冷气空气过滤网 Car air conditonal Air Filter


现今的汽车,都需要放入空气过滤网(air filter)。它的主要功能是成为蒸发器(cooling coil/evaporator)的保护层,不让灰尘进入蒸发器,以减低蒸发器损坏或肮脏的情况。如今汽车维修厂售卖一个过滤网大约从RM60起(依车款式而定)。可是,较新颖的车子一旦检查出蒸发器肮脏了(会减低冷气的出风量,从而感觉冷气不冷)或蒸发器损坏了(导致冷媒泄露),维修人员就必须将整个驾驶盘,收音机/音响,及冷气操控盘(control board) 拆下,以取出置在 内部的蒸发器进行维修或更换。整个过程须用上4 到6个小时。如果只须清洗,就得花上RM300起的费用。如果蒸发器损坏了,那就必须更换新的,费用大约从RM700起(依车款式而定)。所以,从消费者的角度来看,安装一个空气过滤网是比较实际的做法。一个空气过滤网能用上2至3 年,只要大约6个月把它取出并清楚上面的灰尘,就可以为蒸发器进行一成保护,延长蒸发器的寿命。

Nowadays, the new model cars need to install an air conditional air filter. It's main function is to be a protect layer for the cooling coil. It prevents the dust from entering the cooling coil. This can prevent the damage of cooling coil and also prevent the cooling coil from dirty. Normally, the price of an air filter selling by the car service center is around RM60 plus (depends on the car model). But,if the car found out that the cooling coil is dirty already (reduce the wind blowing out from the blower) or the cooling coil has damaged (gas leaking from cooling coil), the mechanicians have to take out the control board including the steering, radio/audio system, in order to take out the cooling coil for cleaning or exchanging. The whole process need take around 4 to 6 hours. For cleaning the cooling coil only, it cost around RM300 plus, if exchange the cooling coil with a brand new one, it cost around RM700 plus(depends on car model). From our advise, it is better to install an air filter. An air filter usually can last around 2 to 3 years.We only need to take the air filter out for cleaning the dirt, this simple move can absolutely pro-long the cooling coil life.

汽车空调使用有学问 --八大错误要避免

   汽车空调是开车一族的亲密伙伴,不管天气冷热,都能帮你在车内营造出一个温度适宜的环境。但是如果对它“指挥”不当,这位亲密伴侣也会伤害车主的身体。几位有经验的汽车维修专家给广大车主指出了使用空调中8种经常出现的错误。广大车主找找自己犯过哪种错误。


  
错误一 空调出风口方向随意调
有的车主在使用空调时,不注意调整空调吹风的方向,这不利于发挥空调的最佳效果。汽车维修的专业人士表示,根据冷空气下沉、热空气上升的原理,正确的做法应该是,开冷气时将出风口向上,开暖气时将出风口向下。

错误二 空调不管用时才清洗空调
有些新手总是要等到空调效果不好时,才想起清洗空调,这是不对的。汽车维修的专业人士指出,空调滤清器要定期更换,因为大多数北方地区春天沙尘 较多,柳絮飘飞,这些都会沾在滤清器上,容易滋长细菌,使空调产生霉味,因此最好每年的春季过后更换一次。另外,冷凝器也要定时清洗,而且要将水箱拆下 来,清洗才能彻底。

错误三 先熄火后关空调
有的车主常常在熄火之后才想起关闭空调,汽车维修的专业人士指出,这对发动机是有害的,因为这样在车辆下次启动时,发动机会带着空调的负荷启 动,这样的高负荷会损伤发动机。因此每次停车后应先关闭空调再熄火,而且也应该在车辆启动两三分钟、发动机得到润滑后,再打开空调。

错误四 从不使用空调大风量
有的车主因为不喜欢空调开到高挡时发出的噪音,因此很少或从不将空调开到大风量。汽车维修的专业人士表示,空调使用时会吸进很多灰尘,定期开大 风能将空调风道内表面的浮尘吹出来,这是保持空调清洁的一种简单的方法。另外,也要用专用的风道清洗液进行杀菌、清理和除异味。

错误五 长时间开内循环
汽车维修的专业人士表示,因为内循环是空气在车内封闭空间内的循环,车内的含氧量会不断下降,而且如果汽缸中的汽油燃烧不完全,发动机未燃烧尽 的一氧化碳也可能漏进车厢内,因此车内的空气质量会越来越差,甚至对人体产生危害。因此应该开一会儿内循环,再开一会儿外循环,让新鲜空气进入车厢。不能 开着内循环在车内睡觉,也是这个道理。

错误六 夏季进车就开内循环
在炎热的夏天,很多车主习惯一进车内就打开空调的内循环,认为这样可以让车厢内温度下降得快一点。汽车维修的专业人士指出,因为车内的温度比车 外温度高,所以这样反而效果不好。刚进入车内的时候,应该先开窗通风,并开启外循环,把热气都排出去。等车厢内温度下降之后,再换成内循环。

错误七 冬天不使用空调
一些地区的冬季比较暖和,有的车主整个冬天都不使用空调。汽车维修的专业人士指出,长时间不用空调会导致其橡胶圈老化,空调内部各部件上的润滑油也会变干,定期启动空调能让各部件接受润滑油的润滑,维持良好状态,因此在冬季空调也最好每周启动一次。

错误八 长时间使用空调
有的车主常常在上车后就一直开着空调,汽车维修的专业人士表示,长时间使用空调会使冷凝器压力过大,这会对制冷系统造成损耗,因此每次使用空调时间不宜过久,如果车内温度已经达到舒适的温度,就可以把空调关掉,隔一会儿再开。

皮带 Belting


基本上,皮带分三种,风扇带,空气压缩机皮带及动力方向盘皮带。
Basically, there are three types of belt in car air-conditional system, which are fan belt, air compressor belt and power steering belt.

如果车子在雨中行驶时或路过积水处发出一阵阵的吱吱响,那有可能是皮带出了毛病!
If you found out that your car will come out with some noisy sound every time its raining and driving the car through a road which accumulated with water, this would probably the belting problem.

在这情况下,维修人员会依据皮带的状态进行调整。如果皮带松了,就会将它调紧些。如果皮带已经旧了,花纹已经完全磨损了,那我们就会建议车主换一条新的皮带,以让冷气系统能正常运作。
If there is problem on the belting, mechanicians will tighten the belting adjustment. If the belt has been used for many years or the belt tread already balded, the mechanicians will advise the car owner to change with a brand new belt to ensure the air-cond system would continue functioning well.

冷与不冷 Cold & Not Cold

其实冷与不冷的差别只在各人的意见。有些人觉得摄氏16度不会冷,温度一旦稍微提高了些,他们就会浑身不自在。可是有些人在这样的温度下却冷得要命。除此之外,天气也会影响车内的温度。尤其是天气热时,虽然温度已经降低了,可是还会觉得热。很多时候车主驾着车来到维修厂,问我们怎么冷气不冷了?经过检查,冷气系统没问题,只是天气热了些,加上车子长时间在太阳下曝晒,导致车内不能一时间冷起来。我们会做得是让车在阴凉的地方停放一下,然后再淋一些水在冷凝器(condenser)上,让车子冷却下来,车内也会变得冷些(注:须由专业维修人员完成,不负责任何以外后果)

排除这两个可能性,汽车冷气不冷另一个主要的原应是因为冷气系统出了些毛病。

除了冷与不冷,顾客也时常将风与冷气一盖而论。如果冷气不冷可是出的风正常,那是一回事,在这样的情况下可能须要检查冷气系统里的气液(air-cond gas)是否不够了。如果冷气冷可是风很小,那有可能是内部肮脏了,挤满灰尘,那就须要内部清洗。如果冷气一下冷一下不冷,那可能是内部零件例如风扇没正常操作。如果是完全没风没冷气,那又是另一回事了。这些也只是一部份常见的情况 :-)

Normally,cold or hot is depend on one's feeling. Some people feel hot in 16℃, but some people feel very cold. In fact, weather can affect the car internal temperature. Especially in hot weather, although the car air-cond already lower its degree, but we still feel hot in the car. Many of time when the car owner drive their car to our workshop and asking us why their car air-cond not cold. After checking by our mechanicions, there are no problem for the air conditional system, just the weather is a bit hot and the car has been parked under the sun for a long time, the temperature in the car cannot be lower down in a short time. Based on this, we will let the car parked under shelter and pour some water on the condenser. It would let the car cold down faster and the air-cond would be cold a bit as well (This action should be done by mechanicions, we would not liable for any other consequences).

After exclude those two factors, one of the main factors that cause car air-cond not cold is the component in the system not functioning well.

Most of the customer cannot differentiate weather there is air-cond or just wind blowing out from blower only. When the air-cond is not cold enough but the wind is blowing out as normal, it would be one of the condition. In this condition, we may check weather the gas in the system is enough or not. Besides, if the air-cond is normal but the wind is relative small, it may because the internal system has been full of dirt, it may need undergo internal cleaning services. Another condition is sometime there is air-cond but after awhile it just left wind is blowing out. In this condition, it may because the components for example air-cond fan not functioning well. If there are no air-cond as well as wind blowing out , it would be another condition. In conclusion, these are only some of the common condition we face. :-)

误解 Misunderstanding

汽车冷气系统就像我们的呼吸系统,不断的在吸入和呼出空气。跟据这点,汽车使用者在让车子送去维修前必须了解,假如冷气系统里的零件坏了需要更换新零件或者需要维修,维修好了 也不能100%保证您的车冷气系统就能正常运作。这是因为它与气一起运作,虽然维修人员把坏了的零件换了过后,其它部分也可能会出现状况。气一直在零件里循环,假如这个零件坏了,不能代表其它部分没问题。有时,刚刚才换新的零件也会受到其它零件的影响而出问题。


在这个系统里,包含着许多大大小小的零件。一个依靠着一个持续运作。以维修汽车冷气系统的多年经验来说,如果一个零件坏了,就会维修那一部份的零件。比如说,冷箱(cooling coil/evaporator) 坏了,就会维修相关部分。当然,维修人员也会先确定其它部分的零件运作正常后才交车给车主。可是往往在做最后的检查下,维修人员也很难判断出其它部分的零 件是否会在往后的日子里出现状况(除非有很明显的迹象)。维修车冷气不像维修车轮胎那般,轮胎坏了,换了就无后顾之忧,还可用上好几年。可是汽车冷气系统可就没那么简单了,许多时候还得花上半个到一个小时来诊断问题在哪。

如果顾客不明白这道理的话,就会误以为那家的维修人员技术不好,维修了过后不到几天冷气又不冷了。花了好几百零吉,也花上了宝贵的时间,这是顾客最不愿碰到的事,也是我们最头痛的。希望大家看了这片文章过后,能明白其中的道理 :-)

Air-conditional is just like our respiratory system.It continuously breeding in and out the air.Before car user wanted to have any services on the air-conditional system, we must understand that although the spare parts have been repaired or changed with new one after its not functioning well, mechanicions cannot 100% confirm that the system would be good after services done also. It is because every component in this system is linking with each other. when there is one component not functioning well, we could not ensure that other components is good in condition.Sometime,although that specific component(Exp: gas pipe) has been changed with brand new one, it would have problem also in a short time which normally due to the affect of air pressure and other components' function.

During mechanicions is servising the system for a car,  if we find out that a certain component such as cooling coil/evaporator is not in good condition, we would only do services on that certain parts. Ofcause, we would ensure other components is in good condition before we return the car to car's owner. But, indeed, it is very hard for us to check out whether other parts in the sytem is good or not during our last checking (besides it have a clearly signs).

Air-Cond service is not like tyre service. When car's tyre is not good already, can just exchange it with brand new one and it have no worry to be used for a few years. In air-cond system, sometime even only for checking out the problems, it need to takes half and hours or even longer.

If customer do not understand this facts, most of them would misunderstanding that the mechanions of that workshop have no good skills, they would be mad because mechanions didn't fix they problems, after service, the air-cond is still not functioning well after few weeks. It costs money and time as well. For us as a car air-cond mechanion, we also don't want this kind of incident happen to our customers. After reading this, hope you all would be more understand with the Air-conditional System. :-)
